Originally I got this to capture MJPEG in win2k and XP using the hacked drivers, but since I've updated my motherboard, it doesn't seem to work properly, (AVI_IO and Virtual Dub just give an error about 1 time in every 2 saying no frames captured), so I've gone back to a dual boot ME/XP
Ok here's the deal.
I can capture MJPEG fine with the matrox drivers in ME. Only a few frames dropped in long captures. I tried the registry hack to make it capture with less compression, but it still seems to do the same (value is 50)
I wanted though to use a 'less lossy' format. I have tried to capture using YUYV and HUFFYUV and both of these togeteher but I get lots of dropped frames all over the place. I'd really like to capture in RGB format as this is what I'm inputting to the card, but this doesn't seem possible.
I have an 80GB ATA 100 drive - so is there an alternative codec to capture or am I best off sticking to MJPEG?
Has anyone else had success with other codecs and are they better than MJPEG?
Cheers,
