Since SVCDs (just like VCDs) are based on TIME and not filesize, you can probably fit from 35 to 45 minutes of conforming SVCD onto a 700Mg CD.

It's certainly simple enough to try to have NERO burn the 830Megs of SVCD material - NERO will let you know if there's enough room (including overburning, if necessary)...

I just tried to burn the first section of We Were Soldiers to CD using VCD. The file size is 745mb but the video is only 71 min. Nero told me that it could not fit on the cd, to insert another media that would hold such a file. Any help?

      Thanks

        To traigo666

You shouldn't "tag on" to someone else's posting - it gets confusing.

Be that as it may, have you set up NERO to permit (if your burner is capable) overburning?

Why not split the mpeg-2 file to smaller one

Split it to smaller ones at first (<640M) and then create SVCDs. MPEG Splitter
