    vob to mpg: how?

i'm trying to turn a decrypted vob file into a format that windows media encoder 9 will understand, namely asf, avi, or mpg. i've already figured out the frameserving avi method, but it's complicated, tedious, and long.

my question is: is there a simple way to turn a decrypted vob file into mpg or avi format with negligble quality loss?

and what exactly is .mpg format? is it mpeg-1? i know mpeg-4 files have .avi extensions.

It's not at all. All you have to do is read up, learn and try out. That said, VirtualDubMod is capable of opening VOB files . . .

    Use quality-based compression @ 100% quality.

    Do some readings.

For your information, MPEG-1 is the compression format for older MPEG files and VCD. MPEG-2 is the compression format for DVDs and SVCDs.
