WMP 9 problem

since i d/l WMP 9 , i can't see any divx or other movie format anymore , nor in windows media player , nor in micro dvd or any other player. i can't find the setup file on the win xp cd for wmp 8 and you can't download it . in other words , i can't go back to wmp 8. fault messages are :
mmswitch.ax fault
i got the latest nimo codex pack ( build 8 )
is this a known problem or does anyone know how i can go back to wmp8 ?

A few suggestions you might want to try out:
1. Reinstall all your codecs (that includes uninstalling Nimo)
2. Delete or re-registrer the mmswitch.ax file

You might prefer instead to install the older (more reliable) v.6.4 of Windows Media Player (Desktop>>Start>>Run Type Mplayer2.exe)

using v.6.4 of Windows does not help ,
deleting the file did help for a lot of movies. some still cause problems but i did help
reinstall mimo does not help either

Try uninstalling Nimo and installing the more updated (and generally more trouble-free) Tsunami pack instead.

Does the WMP 6.4 work with the Tsunami pack now?

Sounds like it has been installed along wih the mmswitch.ax file, as part of an AC3 filter pack . . .
