    Editing Mpeg2 Files

I have the Creative Digital VCR to capture TV shows on my pc. It will export video to mpeg2. I would like to edit some shows, cutting out commercials and such, and put them on a DVD. Does anyone know of a program that I can use to edit mpeg2? I can trim the beginning and end of the files in NeoDVD, but cannot cut out commercials in the middle. Any help is appreciated.

TMPGEnc or Virtualdubmod (if you intend to create an *avi file).

There is no reason to go to avi to edit commercials, often you loose quality or create sync issues. Most people edit commercials with an MPEG2 editor like VideoReDo. Also you can rejoin your program streams and you don't loose quality. It was designed to edit commercials so it is easy to use for this purpose.

It takes much less time to use an MPEG2 editor like VideoReDo

        To tlevers

I was just wondering if you realize that you've responded to a post that is 16 months old?
