Convert from .GI (Sony CD Extreme Global Image File)

    Hiya all,

Got this .Gi file format file. Want to convert it to ISO / Bin/ Cue. Is this possible?

Actually I have three .Gi-files that totals a complete game. How should I handle multi these files? Join? Or expect them to be individual DVDs?

    /Many thanks!

    Krissekrasse!

Not sure - can isobuster open those?
    Maybe Daemon tools could help.

Are those 3 GI files actually 3 distinct cd images?
You could try burning them to a cdrw and go from there.
You'll need the program you mentioned, or Stomp
recordmax now will work *trial is available*

      Thanks for the input, friend.

Neither Isobuster nor Daemon can help. I *think* I need Prassi PrimoDVD, but this software ofcourse cannot recognize my DVDrecorder, HP 200e..., USB...

        Suggestion

I didn't check it myself, but I've been thoroughly blown away with 'Alcohol 120%' for Virtual CD work. Seems the best for anything I need. I dont have it loaded ATM so I cant validate which image types it handles, but I'm sure it handles 2-3 more than DaemonTools does.

        >>Erps! - I loaded it up just now and thought I best post:
        MDS - Media Descriptor
        CCD - CloneCD
        CUE - CDRWin
        ISO - Standard ISO
        BWT - Blindread
        CDI - DiscJuggler

are the image formats it handles. Sorry bout that.

I've been using this tool to backup my son's games (2 and 5 yr old kids scratch CD's on a daily basis!) and this works exceptionally when my other Apps fail occassionally. I discovered this tool when attempting to mount virtual images of the SVCD's I make. Works superbly. Sorry to not have the answer to your question.
