audio codec & vob files info

Is their a audio codec that will work for vob files in Windows 98 Mplayer2 Ver 6 without time limitations. All downloads have failed.

Are ripped and CD-R burnt VOB files playable in standalone DVD players. If so must I execute a specific autorun instruction on the disc so the standalone can detect & play it?

    1) Install WinDVD (commercial version) or find a site (or codec "pack") that indicates that it has the unfettered "iviaudio.ax file"

    2) Download and run DVD Genie

    3) In DVD Genie, select the "WinDVD tab" and click on "More Options"

    4) Click on "Register filters"

    5) Restart your PC
