    An error, anyone think they can help :)

    i have Win XP, 1.2 ghz AMD Athlon, 640 mb Ram, 30 gig hard drive, Direct X 8...

    whenever i try to load a certain Movie with my Media Player, or any player for that matter it just crashes, i have the divx 5 codec, angel potion codec, and a few other codecs.. this is the only movie that crashes.. i can watch everything else perfectly.. anyone know what i can do to fix it?.. if you need me to be more specfic just ask your question.. cause thats about as good as i can think it up o.O

    are you able to load the file into virtualdub?

    if so go
    file-->file information
    post everything you see (screen capture would be nice)

            This video was made using the DivX v.3.11alpha video codec. Download and install it...

            (However, you should note that if this file is okay, it shouldn't make ANY player "crash". At the worst, it should generate a message that "codec couldn't be located". Otherwise, assuming you have an .MP3 audio codec installed, it should play the audiostream with a blank screen)
