DVD Recordable Sizes

Hi

I have [non movie] DVD's with content recorded as 5.3-5.5 gigabyte which I wish to make a backup of. I have spent time searching for larger than 4.7 gb blanks to no avail. Now I wonder if they exist but only for OE purposes and not available after market or whether somehow the DVD "tricks" windows into reading them as bigger than they are. Trying to copy them just gets message "too big for discs"

Ideas welcome as to sources or how to copy if it is a "trick"

I think you'll have to reencode at a lesser bitrate.

I agree re-encode the files to a smaller size.
