Hey there.
I've just recently discovered that my DVD-ROM
won't play any DVDs marked with the NTSC logo.
Any other region-1 DVD plays just fine.I'm using
an ACER 1040A DVD drive with the PowerDVD 2.5
player.My video card is a Voodoo3 3000 TV-out,but
I like to watch DVDs on my PC monitor(a NEC 17").
When I place any NTSC disk in my drive,it attempts
to read it,but then makes a "skipping" sound and
my Win98 tells me there's no DVD in the drive. Is there a software fix for this problem,or is it a
hardware compatibility issue??? Any insight would
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
