I recently got my s-video cable to work. It works fine but the sides of the screen are black can anyone help solve this problem?

I've just noticed that the left and right of the screen are cut off a bit.

"I recently got my s-video cable to work"

Was it not working before or what? As for the bars on the sides, does it do the same thing when youre not watching dvd's?

Since its only from your pc to tv, do you even notice that much of a difference in quality?

can you adjust the sharpness on your PC or TV? If so set it a little higher until you get the quality that suits you

Are you using nVidia's nView (or Twinview, whichever it is) software for the TV-out? Have you tried using TV Tool?

Be aware that TVs are never meant to be the high-precision devices that computer monitors are designed to be . . .
