Audio only on a DVD but NOT DVD-A

How do I make a DVD with and audio stream but no video stream (NOT a DVD-A). Could it be done using a pure BLACK image and making a DVD with MPEG audio stream (ie true VOB files) or would this still result in large files (trying to get up to 5 or more hours of audio/ 4.7gig)

Got a mate who has has done this using Nero.

Well how did he do it? I cant see how (I also use nero)

Note:- I want to be able to play it back on a stand alone DVD player.
