Only 60Hz in XP while Gaming???

When playing Counter-Strike under XP my monitor will only use 60Hz, I have upgraded to XP from ME. In ME it didn't have this problem it just used the highest possible Hz available

I have turned off Vertical Sync, and set the MAX fps to 100 can anybody help me???

    My specs are:
    AMD Thunderbird 1333
    512 Mb Ram
ATI Radeon 9000pro with 64Mb DDR Ram

I'd suggest that you post a gaming-related question at a gaming forum...

      Use PowerStrip.

Here is an interesting tip I use myself. Run your desktop at the particular resolution and refresh rate that you want the game to run at. Save the Display Setting under Display Profile. Now go to Application Profile, call up the game EXE file, and set Powerstrip to automatically use the previously saved Display Profile everytime the game is loaded.

      Simple enough.
