    Adobe Premier 6: Compressing

How do you compress a movie with Adobe Premier 6.0?
The only way I have found is by exporting for the web. However this saves as a .wmv file and the video is really blurry. I would like to save it as an avi or mpeg.

I capture MiniDV movies at 720X480 in avi format to my PC and the file sizes are very large. 600Megs for around 5 minutes. There has to be a way to compress it to somethign like 320X240 in Premier 6. (Or may be not I cant find any way lol)

All I really want to do is take those large movies and make them smaller resolution and may be compress them a little more so I can upload them. I dont need them real small, just reasonable sizes. (600Megs for 4 minutes is not reasonable )

Why don't you just use VirtualDub? It is easy with that.

    Just open the AVI
Go to Video and click Full Processing mode
    Click on Compression
Choose the codec that you wish to compress with
Then Click Save as AVI under the "File" Drop down menu

VirtualDub hasnt worked for anything, yet. Including capturing video from my MiniDV camcorder. Yes I know it does work for some people but not with my camera on my system.
