Why can't I delete Divx files?

I know the problem got resolved, but there was still an issue with the file not displaying its summary information.

Just thought i'd put in my .02

Go in the registry, open key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\.avi\shel lex\PropertyHandler

then delete the default value.

or give AviFiXP a try AviFiXP already includes an option to disable the Explorer's Avi Handler
