What's wrong with my Divx?

Every time I try to encode a DVD with DVD2AVI or Xmpeg I get a windowa error message saying
XMPEG caused an invalid page fault in
module DIVX.DLL at 017f:02a239f0.

Repace Xmpeg with DVD2AVI of course when I am using it
What do I need to do to fix this

Try re-installing your codec, or a later or earlier version.

I did and still the same thing
