Length of MPEG only shows 3 seconds

I hope this doesn't sound too confusing. I have an MPEG that plays ok on one computer but on a few other ones, it opens and plays but the time meter on the bottom of media player only goes to 3 seconds and then stops but the video keeps playing and goes all the way to the end. I must use Media Player b/c this is a corp environment. It's not that big of a deal, but these videos are played in Powerpoint presentations and then they stop after three seconds. Any ideas? I have installed Tsunami 3.99

I uninstalled the Elecard Codec and then reinstalled Tsunami 3.9.9 and now it works. Anyone else ever come across this? We always needed the Elecard before to play a lot of mpegs
