    movie problem

some movies stop after an error message of the player pops up, it's possible watch the movie if you start it short after the time the error took place.
tried to fix it with VirtualDubMod but that didn't change a thing on the 'cleaned' movie.

if there's a way to delete out this bad frames then please tell,

    thanks.

      thanks edge,

the error shows up as the movie stops and i have to stop the player (any)

      in VDM i did following:

      Selected "Scan for errors"

Set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copy"

      Save with a new filename

besides i did use the VDM 1.5.1.1a

Ok, but what is the error?
Maybe you could post a screen shot.

when i used the real player this error happened:

          AppName: realplay.exe AppVer: 6.0.10.505 ModName: xvid.dll
          ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00020387

first a box pops up, that says real player find out error and has to shutdown.

Xvid.dll suggests a xvid source. Try re-installing XviD

Use a different player. Real player is rubbish IMHO.
You could also give FFDShow a shot.

Personally, I use Keopi's builds. For rock solid encoding and playback, use the stable branch. If you want to experiment with new xvid features or to just test it, use the unstable build.
                  If no joy, try ffdshow

                  Good luck.

i reinstalled xvid, but the problem remains the same....

i guess to delete bad frames is a more difficult thing?

Have you scaned the video for bad frames in VDub?
                      If not, try this first.
Also, have you try ffdshow yet?

No one knows how to use ffdshow, it's a placebo

I see it recommended time and again in this forum, yet when users ask how to use it, the posts come to an end. If you install it, you will end up with an option to have it configured. Then it is supposed to magically fix your problem. Don't ask me how, just use it.
