A problem with output-->vhs

I have a geforce2 mx/mx 400 - i plugged a cable into the out put, to the input of the video, i get a picture and sound, BUT it is all black and white .

I tried switching videos, cables, and systems(pal/ntsc) - no use.

Anybody got an idea ?.
