PS2 playing divx?

I recently heard about this, ps2 playing divx... is it possible? and if this is true, how can it be done?

It doesn't play DivX like you think, cos it doesn't have DivX codec built-in. Instead there is a program (I forgot what's called) that allow you to stream DivX movies to your PS2 from your PC. Try searching on Google for more info.

I wonder why anyone would want to do that though. If you are going to make a TV out go to your PS2 why not just make the TV-Out go to your TV?
