    Strange

Hi all.... was backing up a dvd tonight ... used Smartripper no problems....then went to run files through DVD2AVI...loaded the files in selected the VOBS then DVD2AVI went to the size of a postage stamp...???...tried again with a differant version same again.....

SO..i tried skipping that bit and went DVDX2.2.... loaded the IFO in and everything went ok untill encoding...the screen went green....dragged the time line across....all screen green.

SO....i loaded the files back into DVD2AVI and just ran the proggy. it worked ok....but was still small in size.

All files have loaded into TMPGEnc ok but what went wrong is there some sort of anti copy software on this dvd.

Hi again...firstly thanks for the replies.....i managed at the end just to use DVD2AVI... i could still see the control panel and when i previewed the file i got the menu in full, so i ran from there....TMPGEnc had no bother with it.

benderman asked "Many DVDs are copy-protected, did you tell smartripper to remove it?"

the answer is no....and i`ve looked into settings in there and can`t find how to do this....please tell.

You don't have to - it's set to remove CSS copy protection by default...
