    As far as I know, You haven't been able to play Quicktime videos (.QT or .MOV) with Windows Media Player for about five years...

      If i am replying you for a second time then my browser isout of order

      You can play .mov files in Medai Player Classic. You can download it from this address:

      You need to have installed on your PC appropriet codecs if you wont to watch not just .mov files (QUICK TIME- FULLSCREEN what QT can do) and Real MEDia (.rm) and others .

      NOTICE : This player works under Win2000 and win XP if you dont have one of thie OS then

      With Best wishes

        Please note that Media Player Classic is not the same as Microsoft's Windows Media Player...

            no, it's based on (mplayer2 - 6.4) but has been improved (playlist, native support for several technologies...).

                  You wanna play QT files in MPlayer? Simple, use QT alternative...

                  And use Media Player Classic to play. Haven't tried with MPlayer2 though...

                    By the way, you can also play RealPlayer files without the stupid player...

                    It is possible with some extra work

                    Preparation (you have to do this only one time):
                    * make a image of your system.
                    * Install realplayer 8 http://www.oldversion.com/
                    * Make a zip/rar file from the folders:
                    Program files\Comman Files\Real\Codecs
                    Program files\Comman Files\Real\Common
                    Program files\Comman Files\Real\Plugins
                    WINNT\System32\pncrt.dll
                    * Make a textile and cut and paste the text below
                    REGEDIT4

                    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Software\RealNetworks\Preference s\DT_Plugins]
                    @="C:\\Program Files\\Common files\\Real\\Plugins\\"

                    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Software\RealNetworks\Preference s\DT_Codecs]
                    @="C:\\Program Files\\Common files\\Real\\Codecs\\"

                    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Software\RealNetworks\Preference s\DT_Common]
                    @="C:\\Program Files\\Common files\\Real\\Common\\"
                    * save the text file as real.reg
                    * Restore the image

                    Use Media Player Classic to play!

                      Im using windows xp and I already tried using QT alternative and i still freezes when I click on file for some reason. Is there a place to download mplayer2, one of the old versions that could play quicktime and realmedia?
