Athlon Problems

Guys im having nothing but problems... im using flaskmpeg and it keeps locking up.... completely. It can get anywhere between 10 and 40% through encoding a dvd and then bam...

Here is my hardware specs...

512mb ram
1.4 Gig Athlon
Aopen AK73 MB
Geforce 2 AGP Card
60 Gig IBM ATA 100 Drive


Im running Win2k, ive reformated, i dont believe its a hardware issue as i have no problems doing anything else no matter how cpu intensive or ram intensive.

Ive got the Athlon version of Flask and no matter which option i choose for encoding i have problems.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Flask vs. Athlon

Sound like a memory management problem to me. Are you using a cache program? CacheMan.exe 5.1 or RAMpage should do the trick.

If you're referring to the supposedly Athlon-optimized version that came out perhaps a year or so ago, it's problematic. One of my systems is an Athlon 800, and I've successfully used Flask v.0.594PX3 more than 200 times with it.
