dvd to wmv

I am running WinDVD 5 Platinum + AudioBooster pack. I am trying to encode one of my dvd to windows media 9 with 5.1 audo. When I do the encode only 2 channels come from the vob file.

I have played the vob from my hard drive and verified that it has the 5.1 stream.

I have heard of a reg setting for WinDVD that is neccessary to get the mpeg2 filters to spit out more than two channels to something other than the WinDVD player itself.

Any help is very much appreciated.

The simplest way is to use DVDGenie to register WinDVD's filters with Windows...
