.mov to divx??

Hi everyone, my first post...

I have a .mov file that I made from iMovie but the file is way too big to burn onto a CD (about 5 GB!!). I tried using virtual dub but it says it cannot recognize my file. Am I doing something wrong? Please help! Thanks!!

Yes you are. VirtualDub (and its variants) cannot process .MOV files.

1) You might want to search for a program named "MOV2AVI"

2) You could try using TMPGEnc with the QTReader plugin installed (two separate downloads)

3) You could use QuickTime Professional to convert your file
