    Newbie to TmpgEnc

I seem to be having a problem, I am trying to convert my avi files to mpeg 2 format so i can burn it on a dvd, only problem is when i go into DVD pal option on the wizard and fill in the movie i end up with a file that is too big to fit on one DVD.

    What am i doing wrong????

Split the mpeg2 file you've created with TMGPEnc (search forum for splitting/cutting of mpeg-2 file in TMPGenc) , and then burn the movie on 2 or more cd-r/rw.

      1) You aren't necessarily doing anything wrong. What is the combined running time of the .AVIs that you're converting for burning to DVD (not CD)?

      2) Rather than directly burning your DVD, save the entire DVD "package" (.IFOs, .BUPs, .VOBs) to your hard drive. Then use DVDShrink to compress to 4.37Gb or less. Then burn...
