my film plays upside down. pls help

i've just managed to split my first film in 2 and put the first halfon a cd as a vcd. i've just tried playing it and for some reason it's upside down. can anyone help?

did you encode with nero or with tmpgenc? nero is bound to be wrong, whereas tmpgenc results in high quality encoding
