    video-audio synchronize

    I am using Dazzle DVC80 to record video. While playing recorded video, music is heard later than the video (audio starts playing late). How can audio/video be synchronized?

    If the video is in .AVI format:

    A) If the difference between audio and video is constant throughout the video:

    Load the file into VirtualDub, VirtualDubMod, or NanDub.
    Set BOTH "Video" and "Audio" to "Direct Stream Copy".
    From the "Audio" dropdown menu, select "Interleaving"
    Under "Audio skew correction", set an appropriate number of milleseconds (positive or negative) in the box labelled "Delay audio track by"
    Save with a new filename

    B) If the difference increases as the movie plays:

    From under the "Video" dropdown menu, select framerate - and select "Change so video and audio durations match"

    Let us know of your success ;>}

      Thanks for the reply. Unable to understand the technical terms as I'm not an expert. Appreciate if you could explain step by step in an easy way. I don't understand VirtualDub etc.

      Regards

        VirtualDub is the name of the (freeware) program that I'm suggesting you use to correct your problem.

        You can find VirtualDub by clicking on the DivXDigest link at the top of this page...
