Use DVD Shrink, re-author it and select only the main movie. if its still to large and you dont want to compress further, use the start/end features to get rid of the credits.

I am afraid that DVDshrink does not help you with that,
since DvDshrink needs a valid dvdstructure to operate.

if you have already generated a FULL and VALID dvd structure
you can use DVDshrink to adapt it to fit on a 4.7 GB DVDrecordable.
if you just want to cut an mpeg use Tmpeg encoder and refer to
the merge and cut tools in mpeg tools section!!

just wanna add this as cuting /joining will result in reencoding the whole file, and im assuming tmpeg doesnt have this option, use cyberlinks powerdirectors svrt option to reencode saving lot of time.
Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!

"just wanna add this as cuting /joining will result in reencoding the whole file"

When using TMPGEnc's "Merge&Cut" function, there is NO re-encoding performed...

          (TMPGEnc>>File>>MPEGTools>>Merge&Cut)

At the risk of offending you - So why would you make a contradictory statement/suggestion about software that you're not familiar with?

The suggestion made by "Shiny#3 was absolutely correct.

It's wonderful that you want to help your fellow posters, but your posting here only created confusion, not clarity...
