how to fix currupt vob file?

i have a scratched dvd and i extracted the vob using dvd decriptor but not without errors and i ignor all of them to get 80% vob file. now problem is nothin open this file only power director pro but without any sound, and windvd with sound. how can i fix this or either open the file to edit/encode in either divx or mpeg2

Try the following to convert to .AVI (DivX-compressed or otherwise):

1) Load the .VOB into the most recent version of VirtualDubMOD (Different than VirtualDub)

2) Set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copy"

3) Select "Check for errors"

4) Select "Mask bad frames"

5) Save with a new filename

thnks man problem solved, but now have to look this vdubmod few things different in this, was using nandub for somtime.
