Jumpy video using firewire and camcorder
Hello All,
I am new in video business and have done some works on converting analog videos to digital and creat VCDs and DVDs using Dazzle DVC 150 capture card.
Recently I have purchesed DuoConnect USB 2.0 and Firewire cardbas from Adoptec. I am happy using with USB 2.0 port but not with firewire port.
I have used Sonic MyDVD and Dazzle MovieStar to capture some video from my Sony DV camcorder using firewire cable supplied with cardbus. Picture was great (resolution wise) except that jumps and sometimes ran faster than usual like old movies. I have tried different cables such as AR GOLD cable ($80), result was better but still jumpy picture.
I have studied a bit about this on forum and only thing that I have found was suggestion to use GOLD firewire cable that I already tried and did not worked.
I have sent a question to Adoptec technical support and still waiting to get the answer.
I'd appreciate your input.
P.S. I am using Win 2k Pro sp4 on DELL PIII 750MHZ, 512MB RAM, 14GB Free disk space.
