    3. When i'm finished burning i tested the film in powerdvd on the computer i got and error that says "The DVD disc might have been damaged so as to inhibit playback operation." And it wont play in my stand alone player...What is wrong?

    1) No, this is not normal - Burning at 1X (slowest) should take 1 hour

    2) There's nothing unusual about the types of files or the number of files. Look at the ORIGINAL DVD...

3)"The DVD disc might have been damaged so as to inhibit playback operation."

This couldn't be much clearer. Your burned DVD is most likely physically damaged

Now i have burned many dvd cd's. But today i was going to copy "Analyse that" and the same thing happend..so i wonder if there could be some problem in the ripping (backup with dvdShrink) that is the problem. Because the same company who made 8 mile made analyse this. So I rhink this is the problem

      Waht do you think?

"Now i have burned many dvd cd's."

        1) What is a "DVD cd"?

        2) Have you successfully burned ANY DVDs?

        3) The v.6.xx of NERO you are using may be "buggy". I'd suggest you try using the previous generation's NERO v.5.5.10.42 (in the "DVD-Video" mode

        4) You might also try higher quality media

        5) "When i'm finished burning i tested the film in powerdvd on the computer i got and error that says "The DVD disc might have been damaged so as to inhibit playback operation." And it wont play in my stand alone player..."

If you playback the HARD DRIVE version (as DVD) with PowerDVD, do you receive any error messages?

          1. Hehe..By saying dvd-cd i meant a dvd material..I use
          Verbatim DVD-r

          2. Yes I have successfully burned many dvd's!!

          3. Okei nice. Now i'm going to test an other version of nero

          4. I've heard that verbatim is a very good media and therefor i use this

          5. I have tested the HARD DRIVE version on powerdvd and it WORKS... So there must be something wrong with the burning..what do you suggest to do???????

          6. What burning program do you use?

I feel im getting closer to the problem..and it's making me very happy..

Yes. That's why I asked those specific questions - to isolate the source of the problem. It appears to be either the burning process or the brand/quality of the media - or, even worse, your burner may be faulty...

"What burning program do you use?"

Why do you think I said, "The v.6.xx of NERO you are using may be "buggy". I'd suggest you try using the previous generation's NERO v.5.5.10.42 (in the "DVD-Video" mode)"?

If your problem is not resolve either by using a different version of NERO or using different media, you might want to run a DVD/CD cleaning disc on your burner. Maxell makes one that retails for approximately $10U.S.

its not the media or the burner as im getting the exact same error using verbatim dvd+rw and ritek g04 dvd-r and a pioneer a06 error code 89020003 im using the same software nero 6 dvd shrink 3 beta 5 power dvd 4 and windows 2000 the solution was to use record now max 4.5 i dont have a standalone dvd player but i have xbox ps2 and pc the disc works fine in xbox and ps2 and the start about the first 10 percent works in the pc after that the error code if i wait or use slider bar if i select a chapter in the film later than the 10 percent it just freezes with no error and i have to close power dvd down i am not sure which one of the mentioned programs is to blame or if its an incompatibility between 2 i will try a different encoder and dvd player program
