Please help, I am at my wits end. Every time I try to "author" my already converted files (Mpeg from AVI) I get a "stream error". I have no trouble converting the AVI to MPEG.. I am using windows 2000, using TMPGenc to convert the AVI for DVD format, and TMPGenc DVD author v.1.5.11.37. What could be the possible problems. After several days of unsuccessful attempt of "authoring", I feel like a failure. Please help so that I can have my sanity back.

I use the Wizard,
Pal - Low resolution
VBR MPEG1 layer 11 (audio MP2)
I then select the appropriate file from the browse button
The video type in set to non-interlace
Aspect ratio 1.1 (VGA)
In order to reduce the file size to under 4gb i then set the audio bitrate to 320 or 256 so that I can proceed.Comment

"In order to reduce the file size to under 4gb i then set the audio bitrate to 320 or 256 so that I can proceed."
1) As an experiment, try leaving the audio at its "wizard" default setting.
2) What was the exact (and complete) wording of the error message generated by TMPGEnc DVD Author?Comment

Thank you for your advice - but it looks as though my problem has been sorted out. I unloaded both TMPGenc programmes and then reloaded them. Furthermore I also disabled my anti-virus programme while using the above programmes and somehow it worked. By the way the exact message just read "Stream error".
Thanks again - well appreciated! No doubt I will need your help again some day. Good luck to all of you out there.
