im new here at your site..

ok my trouble is with burning songs to cd..
yes i make them wav,s 1st..the trouble is 90 % of the time they will not work any where but in the computer.1 in a 100 will work in a cd player.. the cd are all done..

have a 40X24x32.. never had this trouble with my 4x4x2

i have nero 6

need help..

This is what I normally do to create my audio CDs:

1. Convert the music files into .wav files using separate decoders (by that, I mean skipping the use of Nero for decoding purposes). MAD Front-end is an excellent decoder for MP3 files, especially against the common FhG decoder used in most applications (including Nero, MusicMatch and Winamp).

2. When all .wav files have been prepared, use a burning software (such as Nero) to create the audio CD out of them (use the wizard for creating audio CDs; you can't go wrong with it). You might get more reliable results if you burn at lower speed (16X and below should be fine).

p.s. And make sure that the audio files have a bitrate of 16-bit and sampling rate of 44.1KHz. Other parameters will only result in erronous playback.

I would also like to attract your attention to "Feurio!"

a simple audiocd only tool but the best of its kind I guess....

I also do recommend not burning at highest speed with fast drives ..... the pits and lands might get somehow "smeary"
and can not be recognized by a standalone anymore!!

ok this will sound DUMB..why do the new burning software burn to cda..that dont work when my old software burned to wav..

i wish my old software would work on newer drives....

it sounds to me that you are experiencing some conflict.....

go to ahead software home page and get the cleaner or clean package
if you want to stick to nero ...run it and disable all other burning softwares you may have gatehered time by time!!

The final format of the music files, when burned onto CD, is indeed CDDA. I have created CDDA files using the afore-mentioned Front-end before, though I have not yet experimented with burning them directly onto CD.

Just a thought. Why don't you use the older version of Nero and be able to SUCCESSFULLY create your audio CDs (assuming you have had prior success with it)?
