    how can i turn 2avis +2srt into 1avi +1srt

    basicaly thats the question
ive got 2 movie parts with 2 .srt subtitle files.
merging avi files wont be a problem for me but what i should do with the .srt files i dont know.
is it posible to merge them too in some way keeping the right timing?

You can convert the .srt files to sub, using SupRip, the sub files can be joined with "VobSup joiner" wich is included in the VobSub program pack.
If You want your subtitle files included permanently in the avi, use the "SubMux" program also located in the VobSub pack..

Both programs can be found under the software section..

      thanks for your reply

i was hoping for a bit more simple way but i'll give it a try
if i can find the programs some of the links seem dead in the software list

no i have no desire to add the subtitles to the video.
this would worsen the picturequality or increase the filesize
i might look at a container like ogm or even better mastruska
but first thinks first getting a video file that can play without pauze is my first objective

      cheers

other posibilites are still welcome also

As u r aware of Matroska/OGM and use of VirtualDubMod,My suggestion is to create two MKV/OGM files with each having embeded SRTs.Then append these together to a single file in again to MKV/OGM.Then open this file agian in VDM and finally re-convert to AVI.
