hi. i'm new to digital video and have a problem. i work for a non profit multimedia learning company and we are in the process of building a website to showcase a short course we have been running. the website will be made up of html/flash and will include to short (about 3minutes) films that were made by the participants of the course. the problem is that the video was converted to MPEG format by a member of staff who no longer works for us. the films were captured from mini DV and put together in Premiere where they were then finally converted (to files that are aprox 70Mb) The problem is that this is far too large for the web and I have the task of trying to convert them for streaming. However, when i export from after effects, the video skips frames and loses sound. CAN ANYONE HELP ME??

there are several formats that can be used for streaming
purposes....
the most widespread are the microsoft formats wma , asf , asx.......since any windows comes with a mediaplayer
to convert the movie into a small sized streaming video
use the microsoft media encoder ....
(downloadable at microsoft homepage).
this will produce a wrapped mpeg4 movie with mp3 sound configured and wrapped for streaming purposes...
it will reduce the filesize a lot.....
the movie can be customized for different bandwidths
