after rip process

hi all
please could somebody help me out
i have windows xp pro installed on a fat32 file system but have a drive set on ntfs for larger files.
after ripping the parts of a dvd i want i then go to create the iso using many different progs. every one i have used has told me it cannot open the video_ts folder what am i doing wrong
