    Write Error with TMPGEnc

    Hi All,

Does anyone know why I keep getting this message. I have split my avi film in NanDub into silent avi and wav files. But when I try to convert them to mpg in TMPGEnc I keep getting this error.

"Write error occurred at address 77F536F7 of module 'ntdll.dll' with 00000000"

Her are the file details from NanDub before splitting avi / wav..

    Video stream
Frame size, fps [ps per frame 640x272,23.976 fps [41708 ps]
    # of frames [time]: 96091 [1:06:47]
    Decompressor: Xvid MPEG-4 Codec
    Number of keyframes: 1153
    min/avg/max/total key frame size: 1923/16007/58619 [18025k]

    Audio stream
    Samping stream: 48000Hz
    Channels: 5[stereo]
    Sample precision: 0-bit
    Compression: Unknown [tag 20000]
    Preload skew: 28000 samples [0.58s]
    # of frames: 96081
    Min/avg/max/total frame size: 28/2335/28000 [219177k]

    Thanxs
    Tony

I have just read some threads about this so just to add, I have converted two avi films this way before without any errors, and 1 since without this error.

There have been several postings indicating that this specific error arises only when trying to comvert XviD videos in TMPGEnc - and that the way to overcome this is to download and install the FFDShow filter (and then reboot)...

        1) You DO have an XviD (different than DivX) codec installed on your system, don't you?

        2) Instead of extracting the audio from the original .AVI, do the following:

In TMPGEnc, under the "Environmental Settings" "VFAPI plugin" tab rightclick on the "Direct Show Multimedia Reader" and increase to the highest priority. This will enable TMPGEnc to accept a properly encoded .AVI with .AC3 audio for input...

          Setarip,

I have Xvid codec installed, did as you said and TMPGEnc has now accepted the file. Will get back when it's finished to give update.

Thanks for your help so far.
