    strange audio/video problem

hey everybody. i'm new here, and i've been searching this board for a solution, to no avail, so i figured i'd try posting myself.
i have an avi file (comedian) that plays only audio in my divx player, and only video in my wmp and bs player. i've installed fddshow and pretty much any codec i could find on this site, but the problem remains. gspot claims to be able to render it successfully, but still no player will play both audio AND video. little help? thanks a lot.

    1) Load the original video file into VirtualDub (or one of its many variants) or NanDub

    2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

    3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box
