Copy DVD+VR to DVD-Video

Hi

I am new here and this is my first post. I got a DVD+VR from a friend made with Philips DVD recorder I think. I´m having trouble playing this DVD onto my set top player. I have no problems though playing the DVD on my PC.

Thus, I would like to convert (or whatever) this recording to a common DVD-Video format on my DVD-R burner.

Do you have any suggestions about methods, software and so on.

Grateful for all help I can get!

I´m sorry if I´m in the wrong forum, just tell me if I should move, and where to. I couldn´t search for dvd+vr, it just ended up with the answer that (vr) is too short. (Same in Google, the plus sign seems to be hard to search for)

not come across DVD+VR but if it works on your PC and your standalone accepts DVD+/-/R/RW depending on your burner then you should be able to use DVD Decryptor or DVD Shrink with an authoring app to convert to a standard video DVD

There seems to be known problems between dvdshrink and dvd+vr.

I will try decryptor then.

Any suggestions on which authoring program to choose.

well, following many threads here I took up TMPGEnc DVD Author. It's available for a 30 day trial. It's fast and reliable and does everything better than my bundled application
