I'm in HELLLLLLL! VRO, VBO, help please...

I have a Hitachi DVD cam. It records onto
DVD RW and DVD RAM, well when I pull
the info off DVD RAM in the camera thru
the USB it gives me VR_MOVIE.VRO files
amoung other .BUP & .IFO files. I've
tried TMPGenc DVD author and others,
for some reason it takes what I know
is a 10:00 minute program and only
recognizes it as something crazy like
    1:30.

How can I pull these files off the
    Camera without capturing them and
    losing quality?

    Man this is difficult stuff...
    Thanks,
    Adrian

Capture thru the firewire using ULead VS7 and you wont lose DV quality.

        Hi,

I feel for your frustration. I may have some answers for you.

I have an Hitachi DZ-MV238E camera. It took me ages to discover that the USB driver I could get from the upgrade that Hitachi post for their software. The PC software pack includes a copy of Ulead MovieFactory 2 SE which I got free with my Pioneer 106 DVD burner. Using that USB driver I can transfer the files from the camera to my PC and them pick them up to edit in MovieFactory.

The only problem I have is that I have not been ablt to get the audio to work on my domestic Pioneer player. If I look at the file in the PC it works. Take the disk out and put it into my DVD player them no audio.

The software will convert the camera .vro file to .vbo files but not separate the audio.

        Hope this helps.
