    WinDVD 3.0 Issues

    right about now this is how i feel... I am having a problem with WinDVD 3.0 i'm hoping someone can help me with.

    Not long ago i had purchased a 16x40x DVD drive by ACER tech. and it came with the cd version of WinDVD 3.0. I have not had any problems with it before...(it used to run fine with the same OS "Win XP") and i had just re formatted my hard drive recently from buying a new computer and installed it the first time and it worked great...now after i had to replace my hard drive due to some technical difficulties with my old one, i tried to reinstall it again, but this time when i installed it i had to take the install cd out so i could right in the key and when i put it back in it autoloaded. I had forgotten about the autoload feature and i came up with an error;
    ---"setup failed to run installation: the remote procedure call failed"---
    it installed but now when i try to run it, it dosen't even load or do anything for that matter. also when i try to uninstall or remove through control panel, i get that same error. i even tried to delet the folder in program files "the wrong way but it said that some DLL files couldn't be deleted and left the whole directory alone.
    I haven't seen anything like this, any help would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks.
    Bryce

    "it said that some DLL files couldn't be deleted and left the whole directory alone. "

    You can certainly manually remove the directory and all its contained files.
