    VOB files >4mb?

    All,

I tried to do a search but didn;t find anything. I'm trying to combine the VOB files so that I have one VOB per movie. The problem is that I can't seem to merge them bigger than 4mb?

    TIA!!!

    Don't you mean 4GB ?

With windows9x you can't do this, because the maxfilesize in fat32 is 4GB.
With windows2000 and a ntfs filesystem you can do files larger than 4GB, but I'am not sure the vob fileformat allows files larger than 2GB. I think that info is hidden somewhere on this site http://members.aol.com/mpucoder/DVD/

But why do you need vob files that large ?

Yeah I meant for 4GB I just want to keep them in one file so they are easy to find. I don't want to convert them ... I might just have to ...

yeah I know, but wouldn't be nice to be able to just click one file to play the whole movie? Or is there another method for user friendly play back of original VOB files?

Best way: copy the whole DVD in a directory like "c:\video_ts" than you can use WinDVD to play it like a normal DVD in your dvd-drive.
