    audio out of sync: HELP

Hi my problem is I'm trying to put mpeg videos recorded from tv onto dvd, it works except the audio is ahead of the video I guess this is called out of sync, i'm using a 2100mhz athlonxp,1gb ram,80 gb7200rpm, 4x dvdrw, with roxio's dvd builder but I have the same problem with ulead's dvd movie factory.
    If anybody can help

Is the capture out of synch...or does it go out after you process it with that roxio junk...and are you capturing in AVI or MPEG2?

I would try another authoring program other than roxio.

I take MPEG2 capture into TMPGenc DVD Author...cut out the commercials and build the DVD files. From here DVD Author will burn the DVD (if you're XP or 2000)...or you can do other things. If you have TMPGenc Plus put the MPEG2 capture into MPEGTools>>Demultiplex...if the audio stream says it's LinearPCM you can convert it to make your video 1/3 smaller.

I would try TMPGEnc DVD Author-it is shareware for 30 days. If your mpeg 2 is a DVD compliant file, DVD Author should accept it. If for some reason your mpeg 2 is not a DVD compliant file, you may need to re-encode it in the regular TMPGEnc program (different than TMPGEnc DVD Author). Just try and drop your mpegs into DVD Author first. You can make menus, create chapter points, and much more.
