Capturing stills

I recently ripped a small portion of a movie and I'd like to capture a still from it. I thought it would be the same as editing my camcorder footage using ULead but that's not the case (or so it seems). Any ideas on how to do it? I have a variety of ULead software and the standard XP software.

use a player that can cap stills from a movie or switch yer renderer from overlay mixer (defult) to VMR9. when it;son VMR9 just press print screen and then slap it in MS paint.
