    svcd choppy

    I have a unique problem.

Plz let me know if you have any ideas because I am exhausted. I encode svcd using tmpeg and burn it with nero. When I play the result of tmpeg with wmp, no problem. my dvd player, panasonic rv32, shows choppy audio and video and the time on the dvd player is longer than that of the svcd.

    what is the problem thanks

Make CERTAIN that the audio rate is 44,100Hz and NOT 48,000Hz...

"the time on the dvd player is longer than that of the svcd."

That's not unusual - SVCDs encoded using TMPGEnc plus NERO usually show approximately twice the actual time

"panasonic rv32, shows choppy audio and video"

Not all standalone players are very good (if at all able) at playing back SVCDs. Additionally, some are "finicky" about which brands of media they'll accept. To determine the capabilities/limitations of your panasonic rv32, go to:

all of this seems ok for my player but my media is not listed as having been attempted.

            For the record:

Panasonic RV32 will not play SVCD even though the compatability list says it will. The best way to go is XVCD, which plays fabulously.

            Cheers.
