    Problem while movie is playing

I have the most annoying problem while playing movies.

The movies seem to stick for about 1/2 second while the movie is playing the sound is something like 'drrrrr'
I have explained this to a few stores and one said that this happens when you have other things running at the same time. I closed everything and the thing still happens. Then I asked again and they said I should try to install the chipset drivers, which I did and it worked for a little while. But guess what? It came back!
I have downloaded the latest chipset drivers as well from VIA tech and that doesn't help either.
I'm so annoyed because its so distracting to watch a movie that goes 'drrrrrrrrrr' every so often. Is there anyone else out there that's had this problem? Im using Windows XP Pro operating system and I have a whole bunch of players and the same thing happens in every one. HEEELLLLLP!

I assume you mean a bunch of "Software" players. Could you be a bit more specific?

      Hi,

Yes, I mean software players. I have tried playing movies in, for example in Realone, Winamp, m/s media player, DivX and even in PowerDVD which I got when I bought the machine. Can you help?

If you are getting a weird sound while playing the movies, it seems like it could be some sort of hardware issue-since you said it happens when you use all those different players. It might be a bad piece of RAM.

Perhaps, but the computer is only 3 weeks old. If I cant sort it out otherwise then I guess I should take it back to the store. Cheers for the info. :I
