Laggy video

ok i have an avi file and the video is fairly laggy but the audio sync is fine but when i try to convert it the audio is way off and the video runs even slower.

What format are you trying to convert the AVI to?

its an xvid and i'm converting it to a divx

virtual dub mod

Try to use "Nandub" (a variant of virtualDubMod) to correct the audio. Go to "File" > "Open Video File". Under "Video" select "Direct Stream Copy". Under "Audio" select "Interleaving" > at the bottom there is an "Audio Skew Correction" option. Enter a value that will correct the synch issue, and then go back to "File" and "Save AVI" (F7 key).

But otherwise, is it in synch? Also, you might have a damgaed AVI file. Download a utility called "AVIFixP". See link below:

well i should rephrase what i said

the audio starts 15 seconds after the video does

Load your original AVI file into "VirtualDubMod". Go to "File" > "File Information" and post what is listed in "Video Track" and "Audio Track" sections.

ok i just messed with the audio skew correction and i think i got the sync just right thanks for you help!
