    DIVX movie to CD: problem

    Hello,
    I'm a newbie and have a problem:

I want to transfer all my Divx movies to CD (DVD discs) but want to keep them in their DivX formats, also to save space.

I have a Waitec DVD player that plays practically every format on the market, including divX, Xvid, etc.

Some of my movies work when I copy them as simple DATA on a DVDRW CD, but often I get stopped images, that freeze when movie action is too fast (sound continues but movies stops)

Is there any program I can use to make sure this won't happen again?

And: in what format can I be SURE that this won't happen?

Am I forced to encode all DivX to DVD standard movie?

    Thanx for your help

This looks like it could be a media problem. What brand of DVD disks are you using?

      brand of DVD

I used (yeah sounds weird but true) a completely WHITE rewritable DVD disc: no labels of any kind on it, so I can't tell you which brand I used!

Should I try some specific brand name?

      Please let me know, thanx

Yes. Definitely something other than just a generic white label! Ritek makes really good solid media, and relatively inexpensive.
