    Region Changing

I know this question has probably been asked and answered about a million times, but i have spent an hour looking throught the forum, and coulden't find anything. But it looked like the people here knew what they were talking about so i signed up, so that i could ask you the question.

    well anyway:
I have a 'SAMSUNG DVD-ROM SD-616T' , and i accidentally set it to region 1. is there any way that i could set it to region 2 so that i could watch all my films?

Please if anyone knows how to change a region please tell me even if your not sure. (if its for free, then im all ears!)

I have foud one that is for $40 but i would rather ask around to see if anybody has a better answer.

    Cheers Dave

To change your DVD-ROM region to region 2 (as long as your DvD-Rom isn't region locked).....

First click in your Control Panel and select System > Device Manager > DVD/CD-Rom drives and select your Samsung and double click. Click on the DVD Region tab at the top of the box and select a region 2 country (eg. UK).

If you have used up all of your allocated changes have a look at DVD Region Free, it's what I use and it works a peach

DVD region free only works if your dvd drive is region free (by flashing it).

"DVD Region-Free enables you to watch and copy DVD from any region on all DVD drives! It fully supports region-protected (RPC2) DVD drives, and does not require any firmware modifications. It will work, even if you can not change the DVD drive's region anymore."
